å¤¢ęƒ³(Dreaming) Photo Book

(Dreaming) photo book is a year-long self-directed print design project featuring over 40 pages of photos taken with a film camera while living in Taiwan. Through a film lens, I wanted to capture the feeling of fleeting moments experienced in the eyes of an Asian American in a country with both unfamiliar and familiar ties to my own background.

Will these places change when we leave them?

Taiwan Food Zine

Food Diary is a 36 page zine that was illustrated and designed as a documentation of foods I ate in Taiwan while living there for a year. Taiwan has an incredible food culture and I wanted to capture and share this with others who may not be familiar with Taiwanese foods.

Featured at: San Francisco Zine Fest and San Fernando Valley Zine Fest.

Mass Effect Andromeda Crate

As a designer on the creative services team at Loot Crate, I worked under a creative director to provide high quality print and digital material to stakeholders and licensors under tight deadlines.

I was the main designer in the launch of the new Mass Effect Andromeda crate line. Deliverables included magazines, mockups, posters, print ads, packaging designs, digital banners and website designs.

The crate launch successfully generated over $1.2 million in sales and sold out within 2 months of launch, making it one of our most successful one-time crates.

Learning to Love You More

Learning to Love You More (LTLUM) is a project created by Miranda July and Harrell Fletcher documenting responses to assignments posted on the site.

I chose to redesign the website as a design challenge to incorporate better usability and a visual revamp to capture the spirit of DIY collaboration through the 'net.

I mapped out the site and thought about introducing new content to the site to feature professional artists that would expand the audience reach. I also thought about incorporating way for people to stay engaged on the site (ex. having a shop, gallery of artists).

Spark App

Spark is a location-based mobile app conceptualized and developed through a 24 hour Hackathon. On the team, I was responsible for the UI and logo of the app. The idea behind the app is to encourage sparking a conversation between two proximity-based strangers. It takes the process of meeting new people and condenses it in an easy to use and hassle-free manner.

When designing the application, the need for privacy was kept in mind so contact information is limited until the two parties mutually agree to exchange contact information.
